About

De Klamp is a special housing project in the municipality of Dijk en Waard. What makes this project special is that it was realized very quickly, and the homes were built for people with a special story. In fact, the site at Krusemanlaan Noord has been designated by the municipality as a home for young people, emergency seekers and status holders.

Healthy and sustainable homes

Four apartment complexes were built here. Each complex consists of wooden modules stacked on top of each other to form three and four floors. A characteristic feature of the apartments is therefore the wooden interior walls. The wood provides a good balance of humidity and fresh air, leading to a comfortable and healthy indoor climate. The homes on De Klamp are modularly built. This means that parts (modules) are connected or stacked to build a house. These parts are prefabricated in a factory. In addition, the homes are sustainable and well insulated. Solar panels have been installed on the roof, the homes are gasless and equipped with a sustainable heating system. This makes them sustainable homes that meet all quality requirements and have a long lifespan.

A video was made about the construction of the wooden apartments. The film was made by New-Energy TV on behalf of Transition Team Circular Construction Economy and in cooperation with RVO.
