Fire-retardant treated
wood products

Wood and panel products treated with Flame Delay® PT fire-retardant is impregnated with fire-retardant salts under vacuum and pressure.

Independent tests have shown that Flame Delay® PT provides excellent fire characteristics without compromising other technical properties, such as strength and durability.

Flame Delay® PT is non-toxic and harmless to the environment.
Flame Delay® PT is odourless and colourless, and leaves no residue on the surface of wood after treatment.

Applications

• Flame Delay® PT treated products can usually be used unfinished in interior applications.
• Flame Delay® PT meets the European guidelines (NPR-CEN/TS 15912) regarding hygroscopicity for both indoor and outdoor applications.
• For outdoor applications, material treated with Flame Delay® PT must be finished with a suitable coating to prevent the fire retardant leaching.
• Flame Delay® PT treated wood can be finished with most common paint systems.

Fire class

With Flame Delay® PT, a wide range of wood species can meet fire class B-s2,d0 in accordance with the European standard NEN-EN 13501-01/ class 1 NEN 6065. Ask your supplier for an up-to-date overview of the tested wood species.

Flame Delay® PT is supplied with KOMO product certificate 33124/18, in accordance with Assessment Directive BRL 0602
